Within this course an upgrade of the study of engineering dynamics from Newtonian approach dynamics to the Lagrangian approach in systems configuration space. Additionally the basic concepts of mechanical oscillations are extended to periodic and impulse excitation of systems with several degrees of freedom and continuous systems (e.g. shaft, beam).
Students will obtain following competences:
- Systematic knowledge for mathematical modeling of a dynamic system with several degrees of freedom
- Understanding the responses of oscillating mechanical systems with multiple degrees of freedom under natural and forced oscillation
